The success of the first collection of Goon Shows, issued on Parlophone in 1959, prompted calls for a second volume which duly arrived in the shops in December 1960. Whilst not as big a seller as its predecessor, it still managed to hit the Top 20 of the UK charts, further proof of the enduring quality of The Goon Show.
